  • We are committed to financial transparency and maximizing our impact, ensuring that the majority of every dollar directly funds our mission. Typically, 75% to 80% of our total expenditures are allocated to Program Services—this directly funds vital initiatives like Golden Connections, specialized Dementia care, and transportation assistance. The remaining funds are used responsibly for necessary administrative overhead (10%-15%) and essential fundraising and development efforts (5%), allowing us to grow our reach and sustain our life-changing programs.

  • We primarily serve older adults (typically 65 and up), but our focus is on need, not strictly on age. We assist any individual facing challenges related to social isolation, cognitive decline, or mobility issues that compromise their independence and quality of life. This includes residents in senior living facilities as well as those living in their own homes who are unable to access essential community resources.

  • Safety and trust are our highest priorities. All volunteers and staff undergo a rigorous screening process, including comprehensive background checks, detailed reference verification, and mandatory training focused on confidentiality, communication techniques (especially for Dementia care), and safety protocols. For programs like Transportation assistance, we use only licensed and vetted drivers. We also assign a dedicated TrueMe Program Coordinator to monitor each match or service delivery and maintain open communication with the senior and their family.
